picked up a bunch of books at a local book store that is sadly going out of business. gave the tequila book to a gf who i knew would appreciate it :) and the others are for me, my home and garden!

i am very excited to finally post these shorts, don't know how it's taken me as long as it has because i wear them nonstop but finally snapped a few photos. these are the softest most comfortable shorts i've ever owned and what makes them even better is they are by one of my fav designers: Alice + Olivia! i scored these babies at TJ MAXX for $40-can you believe it?! i couldn't either. guess that part makes them EVEN better,

hope everyone's having a good week!

been collecting home decor inspiration for weeks now as i'm done with unpacking at the new place and in the process of the fun part: DECORATING!

over the years i've established a home-style which is much like my personal-style: an eclectic mix of vintage, patterns, bright colors, with a bit of bohemian mixed in. as you can tell from above i'm favoring a Southwestern/Moroccan look with the same semi-cluttered vintage decor.
a few things on my flea market list: old paint buckets, mini picture frames, large jewelry box, cat figurines, mini bottles, dream catchers, vases, and anything awesome my new place can't live without!
next weekend my dad is hooking me up with deer antlers and an old steer head i plan to hang above my bed. once the place is near completion i'll post some photos!

have a good, relaxing Sunday!

how stylish are these Bonnaroo attendees? stumbled across the photos on Style.com and had to share! as a Bonnaroo veteran i'm happy it's starting to get recognition for the style that flocks to the South and boogies in the Tennessee heat.
the first girl (on left) rocking a "Vintage shirt from Preservation Society, American Apparel piqué bloomers, deadstock vintage sunglasses, and white sandals from a thrift store" is a personal favorite.

if your Monday morning was as tough as mine to get going-good luck today!

last weekend was Atlanta's "Indie Craft Experience" feat. artists from all ends of the crafty world from wearable plant necklaces to handmade ceramic cupcakes. i left with a vintage Liz Claiborne belt and a father's day gift for my pops- a keychain for his up-and-coming antique truck made from a vintage license tag. my gf and i laughed because of all the awesome arts + crafts we both left purchasing vintage!

we attended the Sunday opening and were in for a little treat with their photobooth:

coolest idea ever-the subject holds a small remote, looks at a monitor and fires away as many shots as desired. for this gal who l o v e s to take photos it was a dream come true!

if you live in the Atlanta area i highly suggest attending next year's ICE!

have a good weekend yall!

worked extra hard this week at the Atlanta Apparel Market so I treated myself to a new dress from the showroom. initially the print caught my eye but quickly realized the asymmetrical detail and knew I'd be taking it home! the ring is also new, straight from Turkey via one of my boss ladies-its pretty big so it fits on either middle, pointer or thumb which I really like.

today is my first day off in what seems like ages. already been to the local farmers market, hung my curtains, and cleaned the up-and-coming living space.

continuing sunday funday times I'm going to the Indie Craft Experience (ICE) in a few, really excited! looking for new artwork and a dream catcher-we'll see!

enjoy Your sunday!

spent Saturday in the blazing Atlanta heat bouncing from one art festival to another with a friend via our bikes. brought along this tote for my purchases by local artist Dorothy Stucki of Plastic Aztecs that i picked up at the Streetela launch party. this over-sized adorableness is very handy!

in the spirit of all these summer time art festivals i've hit up lately, meet my new blog/lady crush: Scout & Catalogue! the line includes vintage and hand-dyed fabrics with beautiful leather all stitched together to make mini and oversized pouches/totes. her popular item (which is sold on Need Supply Co.) is the hand-dyed scarf which seems light enough for Spring but also great for layering in colder temperatures. my favorite is any item with her custom studs! oh and her blog, awesome. literally scrolled through every page till i reached the beginning-very inspiring!

a little background info:
During a year living in Mexico Scout & Catalogue was born out of the desire to live a simpler, more balanced life.
While we no longer live in a little house with a view of the sea Scout & Catalogue continues to be influenced by the
sweet pleasures south of the border(s).

Scout & Catalogue is heavily influenced by the bohemian beach culture of Mexico. We strive to make pieces that

remind you of afternoons at secret beaches, sun kissed skin, and all day siestas.

hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
