my bestie, obviously.
you can find me: front && center, always.
it's nice to remanence on these photos, esp on a Tuesday when i'm craving loud music && boogy time ((although after thurs., fri., and sat. i need a break!!))

it's that time of the month again for LASERBEAMKITTY!!! tonight is extra special as it's Sonen's EP release, so in honor i'm posting the pictures from last month's LASERevent!!
at the time i thought i was still moving to SD so i was especially sentimental, but i just couldn't leave my favorite night of the month behind!
nor my friends, this is Jamey, we were BESTbuds from the beginning of college and then lost touch rekindling towards the end and now living in Atlanta we've again reunited. love you man!
um, so this is about the GREATEST THING EV-bubbles and lasers-YES PLEASE! i have since tracked down a comparable machine but it isn't nearly as badass as this one!
the drunk me wanted to walk away with it safely tucked in my bag BUT the kind-hearted me knew that if it happened to ME i'd be pretty bummed. so i just played with and said goodbye.
i took this photo, thanks stage!
@@@ the event there are always several bands//performers, djs, && artists. thought this was pretty creative!
clapCLAP yo hands!!
Romper & Purse=Vintage, Vest=Flying Tomato, Rings= F21 & Noir, Bracelets=Vintage, Gift, and the white thing is from Africa and is made of BONES!
a funny moment this night was when this [really cute!] guy complimented me on the romper but he called it a dress so when i corrected and said "look, it's a onesie!" he congratulated me and was very impressed! i got a kick out of the congrats, but really this was a thrift find ((worn on the blog before)) and i gave myself a little pat on the back when i discovered-def one of my fav pieces in the wardrobe!
well, i suppose im going to start on the long road to getting ready for tonight's boogie down....aside from LaserBEAMkitty i'm also going to another EPIC party so tonight's costume is going to have to rule.
have A LOVELY FRIDAY LADIES!

my very good friend, Kristie Jo graduated back in May and i traveled to Bamaland to celebrate her "glamourous graduation celebration!"
she is one crafty lady and i thought her entryway was just adorable! her duplex ((she has since moved)) was soooo awesome, this little side bathroom had an exterior sink, and there were many other quirky details we both loved!
my present was a unicorn pinata filled with candy && glamours rings! also some other glam rings for the "specials" and a mask so she couldn't peek when beating the hell out of poor Charlie ((what we named the little gal..))
another entry way in her place, the hangings are actually part of a costume ((see below)) called a "Sound Suit" that she created for a class in which she also preformed in...after a couple of beers she put it on and gave every a show they'd never forget!
she also made the pants out of about a 1,000 different patches, isn't she amazing?!?!
a gift she received from her cousin, glowing garden mushrooms-ah-jealous!
bama gals((from L2R))
Miranda, Kelsey, KJO, Stephanie, Me
like any glamourous lady should, KJO changed about 3 times, and as always i loved each one! ((all vintage!!))
the cutest sparkly girly around! her asymmetrical hair is so unique, much like her style. love//
we each had on about 10 rings apiece! and none of them fit on our fingers, but who cares! these plastic party glasses are so cool, kristie found them at our favorite thrift store and they actually come apart and turn into HORNS! so you drink champagne, and then you can tootTOOT ((we think they are especially great for New Years Eve, that way when the clock strikes midnight you can ring in the new year!! such a steal!!))
post-attack, still looking adorbs!
mom snapped these photos before the hair feel. i didn't know what i was going to be wearing to the party so i just brought a couple different things and then planned when i arrived....well i didn't have any other good//comfy shoes options so these had to work. got them years and years ago and haven't worn since around then...don't know why exactly, guess the color?? but i really do adore, they are fun. but yea, kinda just had to piece together what i could and this is what came about. i was happy with it. esp my hair! i 1/2 rolled 1/2 hand curled and it turned out so fluffy.
mom bought me these leggings for Christmas and this was the first time they got out, mostly because i've been afraid of the inner sequins getting rubbed off..and they are not lined so a little itchy BUT totally worth it...she found them at Steinmart, also a steal.
complete outfit details////
shirt:H&M, cover up: by Jenny Han, leggings: no label? shoes: We Who See, purse: Vintage, headband: F21, bracelet: Private Gallery
so proud of You KJO!!

Last August I did a shoot with the Atlanta Photographers Guild and it went so well that I've decided to team up once again and head to Elliot St for another go around! Pretty pumped about my outfits too, one in particular was purchased for the occasion and I think you all will be quiet pleased, I mean it includes GOLD HOT PANTS, who wouldn't love///right?!?! Previously I had posted two different sets of photos but there are still ones that I love that you all never got to see so here are a couple more of my favs::::::::
as usual I'll be bring along some props, one of which MAY be a vintage VW van loaned by a friend...crossing my fingers && toes for that one!! wish me luck in this 93 degree summer Southern heat!!

first things first, if any of you have been experiencing difficulties with Hippie Frou Frou it's due to some changes that are in progress. i.e. I BOUGHT A DOMAIN! giving the ol'blog a facelift as well as changing up the name. thought about this for some time and feel that the current name just doesn't represent me as well as it used to. new name: LadyFLASHBACK.com
like the way it sounds as well as represents my love for photos and also my inability to post anything in a timely manner and am constantly "flashing back" to previous memories.
i have been told it will automatically direct my readers over as well as transfer my stuff, we'll see, should be happening tonight! bought it late on Monday evening and google said at most 3 days, cross your fingers for me!
speaking of flashbacks, i realized that i never posted photos from the first Electroport to the ORIENT at MJQ. it was a fashion show [styled by Recollection Vintage], dance party [4 djs!], AND COSTUME party! free cover with an asian, steam punk, or futuristic outfit. best believe i pulled out the trusty space girl suit!! let the roomie borrow my mini vintage kimono and we partied till the break of dawn-literally.
i would so wear this outfit on a daily basis. comfortable and it MAKES crazy times happen//just couldn't do that round here, would get to many hoots and hollers from the bums and nutties!!
i broke my lazzer wand at some point in the night, or day. i know it was towards the end. it lived a good life...been on the hunt to replace ever since and just cannot find the exact match. such a bummer, it always made people so happy.
this night was actually kind of destructive, not only did the lazzer wand bit the dust but after taking nearly 300 photos that night-no joke!-my memory card got corrupted and died. no explanation either, didn't drop didn't do ANYTHING other than the normal overload of photo taking...which it should be used to by now...bottom line, i lost all photos, but luckily OhSnapKid took loads that night and i just so happened to be around the lens!
"hello my party SPACE people!"
one of my friends, Oni, modeled in the show and afterwards we partook in some yummy cupcakes, nom noms!
all the outfits were so funky, really like this ensemble: the puff sleeves and scrunched skirt are killer AND re-worked vintage-loove!
can't get over the colors of this top, they are so crisp && vibrant, then with the butterfly addition-doesn't get much better. i had to share the back, kinda blew me away!
incase you're wondering what "steam punk" looks like, this is a pretty good example. according to wikipedia it's:
a sub-genre of science fiction and speculative fiction, frequently featuring elements of fantasy, that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used — usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era Britain — but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wellsand Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date.
pretty neat stuff!!

LASTLY, this interesting asian-fusion chick//the hair creations were so interesting, and i know 1st hand it can be painful, but these girls rocked it out! such a fun fun night, really hit up Atlanta like rock stars and STILL have bruises to prove it! ugh, was dancing on the runway//stage after the fashion show was over and fell off, bahah, injuring my knee cap and bruising my shin so badly i still have two lumps with blue spots, it's kinda sick. but i played it off and no one noticed, so that was good, but yea-that night was N/U/T/S!
this weekend is Electroport to the Ancient Empire of the Aztecs-yay for feathers, face paint and more costumes!
again, hope everything goes well with this transition and i SUPER HOPE i don't loose any of You All! please stay tuned for more updates, it's only going to get better from here!
