1. face paint
7. peanut butter
adventures start with///
driving 3 hours to Birmingham, AL (on wed) to catch a 6:30 am flight (on thurs) to SD, THEN i had TWO job interviews afterwards helped pack up the 15 person PARTY fan, applied the decals i made at the sign shop, and then CARPOOLCHELLA'd along to Indio, Cali. for 4 days & 3 nights of MAYHEM.
we're here, we're here!!
romper by Glam ((bought esp for the event MONTHS ago!))
starting off RIGHT//
Happy Coachella ella A A A A A!
these stickers are free, the only catch is that when the beholder walks by and says "Happy Coachella!" you must say it back to receive the gift-pretty fun!
will admit, was a little jealous of their headgear..
during one of [our] fav performances, Yeasayer!
((they only 72% worked, kind of a bummer, but i still tried!!))
while standing in the most ridiculous line to charge my camera battery i met a friend who gave me one of her heirloom carrots, it was delish!! ((and so pretty!))
dj && drummer with great lazers!!!
another top pick, this show was incredible. much much better than their set in 2007!
yes..we saw..the one and only Jay-Z. it was pretty rad to say the least, he played one of his greatest hits ((in my opinion)) "Can I get A" haha, i loved this song as a youngin!
he also played "new york" and it TOO was off the wall live! look at the crazy LEDs that looked just like the NYC skyline, it was great!! we left his show to catch the last bit of Fever Ray and just as we walked off Beyonce comes out! suck! oh well...
we had a killer first day/night
//more to come//

just got in from hitting up California for Coachella last night, SURPRISE, really didn't even mention i was going (realized this late and didn't get to a 'farewell' post...such a procrastinator!)...had a marvelous time desert dancing to my favorite songs *major sigh* it's over!!!! but i will talk about all this soon soon in a festival post, but i need to get to business-announcing the winner of the giveaway.....Cath from ASIAN CAJUNS! her picnic flashback was the best, read below!
▶Last year I took my bf on a picnic during the summer at Agnes Scott. Hardly anyone was on campus and we found this amazing spot behind the new chapel. I packed wine, cheese and bread from the DeKalb Farmers Market and made some coronation chicken to go with the bread. For dessert I had bought 3 mini cake donuts from Duck's Cosmic Kitchen◀
doesn't that sound amazing? i thought so, she could totally use the eco-friendly picnic bundle (especially in the south with all these skeeterzz!) well i'm STILL in much need of rest from the weekend craziness, gotta get out of slowMO [so i can plan more adventures!!] can't wait to share all the wonderful memories of Coachella Valley Music Fest.....

The super kind folks over at EcoSMART have offered Hippie Frou Frou to give away an organic pesticides bundle to one lucky reader! I choose the "safe picnic value bundle" because I thought it would be OHso! appropriate for the upcoming months. Read more about EcoSMART's products and other home pest control options offered over on their website-EcoSMART.com!
//Home Pest Control (24 oz spray bottle)
//Flying Insect Killer (14 oz can)
//Insect Repellent (Two 6 oz bottles)
The giveaway is very simple: just comment on THIS post with details regarding a picnic, whether it be from experience (ie. your favorite picnic ever!) or an adventure you dream up/plan to go on in the future. Be as detailed as you wish! I can tell you one of my all time favorite picnics was the "Electric Pinic" out on the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa. We had bubbles, wine, a Hello Kitty coloring book with crayons!, threw the frisbee, and nibbled on delicious snacks! We hung out till it got chilly and the sun went down, afternoons like that sure do make me look forward to the warming weather!!
hope you all have fun with this one, and I can't wait to hear what you have to say!! in two weeks from tonight (4/20) I will choose the winner of the giveaway and contact you via email
(so be sure to leave valid contact info!!)
(USA residents only, sorry!)
