I Wish Wednesday

posted on: Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Since I'm not loaded with $$$$ I'm a frequent "wish list" creator who doesn't ending up getting even close to half, this is also the case for Ebay and my "watching" list. I suppose it's fun just browsing around the web looking, watching. . . drooling. . .over items I'll probably get nor can afford.  Here are some examples///
One
the fluttery sleeves and sequins detail is perfection
Two
great job Left Coast, the lines/structure + cowl are so dreamy!
Three
I fell in deep love with this mini purse necklace, in real life it's pretty large and could hold a couple treasures, i neeed
Four
I knew I should have ordered this, now it's on backorder till Oct 31st. dammit! it will go with evvverything!
Five
"Petal to the Metal" is the name of this splendid Marc by Marc Jacobs bag, I wish for it so hard! I told Dusty I was going to get a credit card just for it, he frowned upon that idea.
Six
rainbow druzy is so pretty and this teardrop peacock ring is GORGEOUS!
Loving the pounded gold! ! !
Seven
this Zimmerman dress is slouchy in all the perfect places, love the tiny leopard print.
Eight
Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony.
in the words of Rachel Zoe: I DIE

and lastly, I wish for this ladies entire outfit, look at those two-toned-tights!

and the suede wedges, I could go for those too :)

so those are a couple of my web wishes, lets see if the October Santa Claus hears my wishes and grants a couple///

Today was sort of awesome, for I got to see Phoenix play a live show at Criminal Records in Little Five during my lunch break and it was on the free! They are playing ((as I'm typing this)) at Variety Playhouse to a sold out venue-hence why I'm sitting on the couch. . .
photos soon so I'll stop talking about it.

good night!

The Sounds played at Variety Playhouse on Saturday night and man did they ROCK OUT! It was everything one could possibly ask for, they played all the songs I wanted to hear and put on a great show.  Maja had the best jewelry and a tube top romper that was ultra fabulous on her tiny body. Took around 60 some odd photos but only a few turned out good, they never stopped moving!

dress: thrifted H&M, sequin jacket:bought long ago, but never worn, from the consignment shop I used to work at-Twice As  Nice-by designer Jenny Han, boots: vintage, purse: unknown, hand-me-down. .
this is what I wore, would have picked different shoes but we walked to the venue and feared getting wet so these served as rain boots.

kinda bummed you can't see the studding detail on my new H&M shirt/tunic, but I'm sure it will get worn again in the near future.

As I hoped this weekend was great.

everyone loved the side braids at A. Wang's show, I immediatly sported the look, only around my house so far, but def going to style again soon. although I did loose an inch or so yesterday so it may be a minute, pleased with the cut though. . . .

could I have put enough blazers in this post?!? so obsessed, but have NOT found the perfect one, and am holding out until I do. Speaking of blazers, my boss brought a pile of crappy old clothes to work to try and give them away to the guys, well of course I rummage through and find two blazer jackets by designer Lanvin! score. totally snatched them up for either a menswear inspired look or a gift to a skinny dude friend. . .whichever. .
altamira
another photo from Altamira's site, &&& these ladies know what. is. up.
not talking about their hair either, which is awesome, a look that is quite easy for me
-frizzy hair-
blackfabulousness for sure!

here are some of the others from the shoot back in late August (outfit two) I wore a vintage hippie frock, a gift from Savannah, borrowed Urban Outfitters hat, and vintage jewelry. For this portion of the shoot I was sitting on a stool next to 'hot lights' and the photographers mainly focused on the waist up and face. thought they turned out well, such talented folks!

man, what a lame ass weekend. most plans fell through and it rained the WHOLE TIME. there were a couple highlights:
▵▵Dusty treating me to the yummiest breakfast over at Ria's Bluebird in Grant Park. I had the buttermilk pancakes topped with caramelized bananas with a delicious chai tea (my current favorite beve!)
▵▵hitting up the East Atlanta Village strut and meeting a cutie vintage dealer
▵▵sharing a few smiles with Dusty, sipping on our cider beers outside the Earl
▵▵going on the run I just went on, yay for exercise.

and that's it.

I am looking forward to this weekend, The Sounds are playing at the Variety Playhouse, and I'm super stoked. not looking forward to getting the flu shot tomorrow at work, however, but maybe I won't get sick-again. pretty sure I've already had the flu but who knows, may as well take the precaution, especially when it's free.

cheers ladies!

what a long,
 rainy day
glad to be relaxing and going to keep this short and take a warm bath, wind down, and get some much needed rest. below is an outfit I wore attending the 3yr anniversary party down the street at Wasabi {sushi}

featuring my newly purchased DKNYC heels! They are so fun, I really fell for the two-toned black leather and wood.

while lodging in the Blue Ridge mountains last week, walking around, we discovered so many species of mushrooms. I mean to tell you there were shrooms EVERYWHERE, of ALL KINDS.  I was in heaven, running around like a little girl squealing whenever I found one better than the last. snapped pictures of a couple but there were 100's so that would have been a little nutty to try and get them all.
