all photos shot with 35mm disposable Kodak
myself and ashleigh getting ready to float down the chilly Chattahoochee//
dusty getting a head start, 'hey, wait on us!'
vintage shades, Billabong swimsuit, second had Tevas
this lady duck kept begging off us until I threw her a couple chips, literally going upstream to try and get a bite. too funny!
cheers to cold ass water, cheap ass beer, weird ass swinger parties in the woods and completing a 4 1/2+ hour float without getting hyerthermia ((well only the beginning stages)) oh AND not loosing the float on the roof tied down with a purse strap and mp3 cord. HA.
everything was fine and dandy when we had beers warming and cheering us up but as soon as those 12 were consumed. very early. we were bitter about not knowing the water stays about 50-60 degrees ROUND YEAR. and paddled ourselves down river as quickly as possible with our shoes. ugh. great experience nonetheless!
one more cheers to the laziest Sunday ev.

Susan Goode && Jon Burns
North River Yacht Club, Tuscaloosa:AL
barely made it to the vows but by God, we did!
sneaky pic of the newly weds seconds after exchange of vows.
Kelsey, Bride, and I
dress is from a boutique in Asheville, NC
her dress was so lovely! she seemed to have a lot of fun wearing it as well.
the Yacht Club was decked out (no pun intended!) in nautical artifacts, including these boat windows that made you feel like you were 'under the sea'.
**totally singing the Little Mermaid song. . .**
enjoyed this photo of ladies (that may or may not be Alabama alumni. .) hanging around the Yacht Club circa 1970something. . .
such a pretty bride, and that bouquet smelled sooooo good!
i would really love to own these vintage chairs as well as every photo here-they were great! full of lots of stylish ladies.
couldn't resist the bag pipes.
such a fun wedding! ended with an after party at The Booth which in turn ended at the toilet bowl. head first. eh. damn open bar. regardless, memorable.
I would totally wait to talk about this but really I can't. . on Tuesday I modeled for the Atlanta Photographers Guild and had a total blast. Sorta freaked myself in the days leading to but it was no sweat at all, and all the photographers were amazingly talented! about 45 or so photos have been uploaded to the account but I wanted to see all the outfits/photos before choosing the ones to post here. real excited!
ok well my fingers are throbbing after a super long day of work, on the computer and shiz.

hello all! hope last week was good for you, it was especially nice for me as it ended with an STS9 bash with friends from home at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater ((Saturday)). I didn't take but a couple pics on the disposable cam but getting two of those developed this week so will def be sharing what I discover. Aside from the shows wanted to share some recent outfits, nothing too fancy. .but all involve one mustard purse I just can't leave the house without. . .seeing as how I recently bought a new vintage bag AND an Elliot Luca number you won't be seeing it AS much :))

check out Natalie Woods jewelry collection via The Selby! ! ! the cloud necklace is too cute.
and her awesome bejeweled high tops!
photo of Nylon magazine//i found this spread to be very inspiring.
i suppose you could call the Clermont Lounge a 'hidden jewel'
dress//Calvin Klein, belt, boots, purse//vintage
more of Natalie's place, the cat mobile is adorable. . and the A. Wang scarf *in black* is something i've coveted for a long time. .
i can tell by her jewelry collection, as well as the other photos on The Selby, we could totally be friends. . too bad she resides in Australia. .
another page from the most current Nylon, which by the way has Sienna on the cover, lovin this hat, reminds me of Stevie Nicks circa 1972.
here's my jewels///a collection that started as early as kindergarden
four left most pieces are from rock & mineral shows, big Geode (d. blue guy) is from my days living in Montana (k-2nd grade), pretty blue calcite (right front) is a gift from Susan found in Rhode Island, shells were found by me, as well as granite in back-found in New Hampshire.
coral-in back-found in Key West, geode pieces from rock and mineral show, amethyst from University of Alabama's Geology dept. photo is my mom in 1980.
Friday was Susan's wedding at the Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa, which turned out to be beautifully decorated in all the nautical artifacts you can imagine (the yacht club, not necessarily her wedding which was supposed to be outdoors-but unfortunately was rained out. . didn't make a difference to me, i thought it was lovely) There was a great sunset, upbeat band, l/o/t/s of finger foods, shrimp & grits station, open premium bar, && familiar faces. We danced it up and then went to The Booth for a separate hoedown. Saturday we went out for breakfast and then hit up the lake with my mom and Gracie (the new pup). Tasted some of my brothers home brew and grilled out, thats about when dp and I passed out at 7 and didn't wake till this morning at 8am our time. ha. i don't consider it a wasted night as i probably needed the rest more than anything. obviously.

I wish to add any of these to my fall wardrobe.
I wish to go on a bike ride with MK, weeeee.
I wish for a mirror this lovely, wouldn't mind those floor pillows either. .
I wish there was a sweet robot that could replace me when I don't feel like working and/or changing the litterbox. . .
Exactly like above.
I wish for the STS9 weekend coming up to be this glittery. which can be d/o/n/e!
any of these Miu Miu bags-pLLLLLease!
the top one is probably my fav but any would suffice.
photos courtesy///Stockholm Street Style, Olsons Anonymous, FFFFound, lastnightsparty, Sea of Shoes-thanks!

Here is one of my latest projects//
Turning cabinet into chalkboard mini wet bar///I found this vintage piece in Florence, AL while visiting Emma and doing a little antique shopping. Enjoyed the blue color for a year but was wanting a change, thought the black chalkboard paint would look nicely in our place and my-oh-my did it turn out great.
nail hole patch//in this case moving damage patch
painters tape-a must
chalkboard paint-available @ Home Depot/Lowes
newspaper-recycle old dailies to guard the floor
after three coats and letting dry for several days, viola!
overall bar is not complete, still want to install wine glass holder above and also collect vintage decanters. . .but thus far I'm satisfied.
photos from Friday evening//spent grilling out, sipping on a Sweet Water 420 keg, while listening to friend's new album
cha cha now y'all!
vintage blouse, Guess shorts w/suspenders, Dolce Vita sandals

Susan's bachelorette party//Nashville-TN//July 24-26
Vintage Espirit 'Pear' Dress
after work and driving to dealership to change out vehicles I finally made it on the road and managed to catch the entire sun set. . .the scenery was so pretty along the way, jumped out && sucked in some mountain air before indulging on some fast food. . .
'round 10 something, arrived to this//
never expected my first beer bonging experience to be done with this. . .lord have mercy. .
((couldn't really post any pictures from the first night, not blog appropriate)) We did have a lingerie shower that was fun, she got some really great stuff-mostly tasteful-I gave her pink sequined heart-shaped pasties that had tassels on them with a matching g-string. ha.
I'm wearing vintage dress from Value Village
2nd day we surprised Susan (in green Miss Sixty dress by me) with the Music City Brewers Fest!!! She is a beer connoisseur and is totally into all forms of festivals so this was a huge, we had such a good time! Live music. .including Phish covers. . Beer. .Bratwurst. . good people
cheers to Susan and Jon!!
(LtoR) Me, Susan, Susan, Shawn, Lauren, Amy-and the lonely loner Brooke (represented by extra mug, won't go into details but we had a 'friend' bail in a real crappy way. . .)
something funny i wanted to mention about the festi was that i had around 6-7 different GUYS come up and tell me that my shoes where cool. one in particular said "those are awesome their like Pocahontas in the back but summer time in the front!" i believe they were all straight and just legitimately liked them, thought it was odd. my gfs were like-what the hell?!
I mentioned in previous post that we (4 out of 6 of us. .) hit up the hippest dance party around and this is what I wore/ / / /
vintage genuine Hawaii dress, vintage Etienne Aigner, Lucky Brand necklace, Bear Trap wedges/ / /
this trip was so much fun! I went to school with most of the girls and hadn't seen a couple in a minute and what better circumstances than a friend taking the plunge.
today has been rather productive, despite the fact I am very sore from yesterday's tubbing experience. Ashleigh, her BF (Matt), Dusty and I bought some tubes and floated down the Chattahoochee River and little did we know the water rarely gets above 50degrees! We were somewhat miserable with stiff muscles and burning abs (from trying to hold my weight out of the water) but had an overall good floatage that ended with walking up onto a swinger party of sorts. yes swingers. in the parking lot. pretty sure my boyfriend was hit on by a red head with tiny pig tails and squeeky voice, but all was good and I was just laughing away until we sped on out of there. . .
about to soak up some of the new cable we got hooked up today. the choppy free shiz wasn't working anymore. . have a swell night lady friends!
